Two trail markers

The Green and Blue stripe is the Fishermans Way marking. The red and gold stripe is a Great Route (GR) designation, as one of the GR goes a similar way.

Mountain overlook

I got to the edge of this mntn overlooking the ocean and saw this motor bike carcas. I thought someone abandoned this thing years ago. But there was a newish bag of sorts next to it. I took a photo and then proceeded to contemplate how I was going to get down to the beach. My Gaiagps app suggested there was a trail directly down off the cliff. I looked at the deer trail and said to myself, "I am too old and unstable for this". Finally, I made my way back up to the top where the motorbike is, and a Poetuguese guy my age standing in a wet suit is there looking kind of annoyed...like i discovered his stash. I asked in shitty Portuguese "Is it possible tp get down to the beach". The guy pointed and escorted me to the path to get down, totally doable!

The Beer Eighty?

The first day in St Andrews, I am walking from Mark's place to downtown. I needed to get a US to UK adaptor. So I ask a local Scotsman direction. What I heard him say is "Do you know where the 'beer 80" is? Like, maybe that was a name of a pub? I was later to learn he was saying 'the Byre Theater"! Things improved a bit from there, except for the Gaelic of course.

Vale Seco to Santiago do Cacem

The last day of my month long exploration of the Rota Vincenta ended in Santiago do Cacem. The place seemed to pitch itself as a Santiago de Compestello knock off.
